Our general strategy — especially in PPR leagues — is to prioritize pass-catching running backs. They are not game-flow dependent, are on the field during the fantasy-friendly 2- and 4-minute drills and are more matchup-proof. PPR scoring does give an edge to wide receivers, but given positional scarcity at running back, you’ll still see them heavily represented near the top of the draft.
DraftKings’ format is 20-player rosters — eight starters and 12 bench. There are no kickers or defenses. DraftKings awards bonus points for 300-yard passing games, and 100-yard rushing or receiving games. These bonuses make stacking even more of a priority as when a quarterback gets the 300-yard bonus, it’s likely his receivers will get a shot at the 100-yard bonus as well.
What large contests for Best Ball does DraftKings Offer?
DraftKings announced their new Best Ball format with four tournaments featuring entry fees of $3, $20, $333, and $1,000.
The premier tournament for DraftKings’ inaugural year of Best Ball will be the $20 “Milly Maker”, which features a prize pool of just over $3 million — including a $1 million first prize and a Tournament of Champions ticket. The total number of entries will be 172,800, and max multi-entry will be set at 150.
A $555,555 prize pool is being handed out for their $3 tournament. 216,000 entries will be accepted along with a maximum of 20 entries per contestant.
3,240 entries will be the maximum for DK’s $333 contest. $250,000 awaits the winner of this particular tournament, and max multi-entry is capped at 97 entries.
As for the highest-stakes tournament DK will be offering, a $1,000 entry could earn you a $100,000 first prize. 480 entries will be taken, and a maximum of 14 entries per contestant has been set.
