Deshaun Watson struggled mightily in six 2022 starts after coming off suspension in his debut season for the Browns, although rust was obvious after Watson didn’t play competitive football for the previous 20-plus months, and he participated in multiple weather-ruined contests. However, Watson did finish strong with a 5:2 TD-to-INT ratio, 8.5 yards per pass attempt, and 75 yards rushing over Cleveland’s final two games. Now in his first full season of Kevin Stefanski’s offense, I’m ranking Watson in my No. 2 quarterback tier just behind Joe Burrow and Justin Herbert. The Browns’ offense is rich personnel-wise, while Watson’s combination of downfield passing aggressiveness and dual-threat capability gives him elite QB1 upside.
