McIlroy reported that the back was being more "stubborn" than originally expected. He stayed home in Florida to receive treatment prior to arriving for The Players where he finished T46, The Masters will be his first event since then.
Will ZalatorisAnkle4/29/2026WD just before his first-round tee time at Cognizant Classic, in his first event back since that WD, he missed the cut at the Houston Open.
Brian CampbellNeck4/29/2026WD from Valspar citing a neck injury, was 4-over at the time of his WD, he returned for the Houston Open but missed the cut.
Collin MorikawaBack4/29/2026Following a practice swing during his second hole at the Players Championship, Morikawa experienced back pain that ultimately resulted in him withdrawing from that event. Since then he's WD'd from the Valero and returned for The Masters finishing T7 and followed it up with a T4 at the RBC Heritage.
Pierceson CoodyBack4/29/2026Coody was forced to WD from the Houston Open due to back injury and then later WD from the Valero Texas Open citing the same injury. Coody does not have signature event status so is incentivized to play through potential injury. He returned to action at the RBC Heritage, where he finished T16.
Aaron RaiNeck4/29/2026Following back-to-back missed cuts at The Players and Valspar Championship, Rai WD prior to his first round tee time at the Houston Open due to a neck injury.
Robert MacintyreNeck4/29/2026MacIntyre was reportedly close to pulling out of The Masters due to a neck injury he sustained in the gym. He was able to complete both rounds but missed the cut.
Jake KnappWrist4/29/2026Flag Hunting Pod on Twitter reported that Knapp was seen holding his wrist during a practice round on Tuesday, not making full swings and only chipping and putting. They reported on Wednesday during his pro-am round that he was walking with his caddie without a bag, going over sight lines and discussing yardages but not taking any swings.
Patrick RodgersHip4/29/2026In a video shared by Dan Rapaport, Rodgers admitted to playing through a hip injury as he tried to earn a spot in The Masters
