Below you will find the players we consider the best for the slate. These do NOT account for ownership, but they do account for salary.

This article is for cash games (contests in which roughly 50% of the field gets paid out, such as a head-to-head or double-up) and tournaments. For tournaments, our focus should be more on the projected ownership and projected ceiling columns in our projections table. The rankings should be used as a general guideline.

With that said, these are our Top Plays considering the following factors: median projection, lower volatility, upside, and value. They are listed in price descending order.

Cash Games

We’re set to see an extreme amount of duplication this week in cash games, due to the short 10-fight slate, as well as the pricing on Gutierrez.

Gutierrez is the clear top option across all formats, as the heaviest favorite on the card, with a super cheap price tag. He’s lined north of -600 to win, and should be locked into your cash game builds.

That salary savings will allow you to pay up multiple times if you wish, and my favorite place to spend is Youssef Zalal. He’s the most expensive fighter on the board, but he’s lined north of -400 to win, with a grappling based style, and his floor feels very strong.

My favorite mid-range target is Karol Rosa, who’s favored to win in the same range as several fighters priced above her. She also strikes at a super high pace and should carry amongst the highest floors on the slate.
