With the second major championship of the year in the rearview, the PGA Tour heads to Texas for another iteration of everyone’s favorite event, the CJ Cup Byron Nelson. Fortunately for the Tour, Scottie Scheffler loves Texas, and will thus be in attendance alongside only one additional top-25 player in the world, and two top-50 players. While last week was for the golf casuals and sickos alike, this week is strictly for the Skylar Hokes of the world.

The Course:

For the sixth consecutive year, the CJ Cup will be played at TPC Craig Ranch. In the past, Craig Ranch has been somewhat of a punching bag for golf traditionalists. Playing as one of the easiest courses in modern PGA Tour history, it regularly yielded winners below 20 under par, with Scottie Scheffler winning in 2025 at -31. However, that’s unlikely to be the case this year. After the conclusion of the CJ Cup last year, TPC Craig Ranch was essentially torn down to the studs by Lanny Wadkins.
