We have four teams on the back end of a back-to-back set, and all of them should be playoff teams (Boston, Milwaukee, Miami, L.A. Clippers). The Bucks seem highly motivated to get revenge on the Heat for knocking them out, and that game getting to garbage time may help players get into the mid 30s tonight.
Top Injuries to Watch
The Josh Richardson (calf strain) injury was a surprise and he is questionable. Coach Rick Carlisle talked him up a ton after Sunday’s win and didn’t mention the injury. He’s never been listed with a calf injury (as far as I can tell), so hopefully it’s just tightness. If he can’t go, Trey Burke would likely get the biggest boost and get fellow undersized guard Devonte’ Graham.
Kawhi Leonard was expected to play last night according to his sister, but he did not. You’d think that the back-to-back factor played into this one with tonight being on NBATV. Marcus Morris is also practicing, so he’s a good bet to return.
We don’t have injuries to watch with the Grizzlies, but no Ja Morant for three-plus weeks. Tyus Jones had top-10 ball-handling time in the last game while Kyle Anderson had the backup PG job. That’s also good news for Brandon Clarke while of course Dillon Brooks gets to chuck even more now.
LeBron James (ankle) is questionable tonight. It’s his birthday and chances are he’s certainly not going to miss this one, but it was Taco Tuesday yesterday.
