Well, that 12-game slate was fun yesterday, but today isn’t nearly as active and subsequently there’s very little injury news.
Phoenix Suns (back end) at Boston Celtics (front end)
Injuries: Jae Crowder (O, ankle), Dario Saric (Q, ankle), Jaylen Brown (D, shoulder), Evan Fournier (O, protocols), Robert Williams (O, knee)
The Suns won’t have Jae Crowder for today, so that should really set up Cameron Johnson as the likely starter. He played well against the 76ers and they really don’t need to start big with Dario Saric like they did against the Bucks. Plus, Dario is also questionable for this one, so that could really help the ceiling for Ayton and Johnson. On a non-injury note, Booker likes to play in Boston with his 70 ball there a couple years ago.
No Jaylen Brown is big for the Celtics after his late-game shoulder issue in the last one. With him out, it’ll likely be a bit of a group effort and I’d expect Semi Ojeleye to be the lead guy. We’d still see a little more of Payton Pritchard as a bit of a wing, but he’s not really in play. Tristan Thompson should see decent run without Time Lord.
