Black Friday Sale is LIVE!

Well, it’s a mess again, you guys. I’ll be helping on the minutes for projections for most of the day, so NBA Matchups will be a little shorter than usual until things steady. Hopefully, we can get back to the old format soon!

Pistons projected starters: Derrick Walton Jr., Frank Jackson, Hamidou Diallo, Saddiq Bey, Luka Garza

Thibodeau quotes: Said Kemba had control of the game as a scorer and passer, said Grimes “gave us great minutes,” said Alec was great off the bench.

Casey/Kalamian quotes: Said they loved Garza’s energy and effort, basically just talked about playing hard.

Stats and Notes:

*All those new bodies on the Pistons have made them a terrible defense, and that should continue here. The Knicks are starting to play a little better on the defensive end, and the Pistons are likely going to struggle.

*So, the Pistons are going to be thin again. We know Saddiq Bey, Hamidou Diallo, and Frank Jackson are going to play a ton of minutes. Bey is always in play, as he drives the offense, and Diallo has seen his ball-handling chances rise. The Knicks getting a SEGABABA on the road could make this close, so maybe those guys are in play.

*Derrick Walton Jr. ran bad in the last game, and I’d expect him to have a little bit of a longer leash. I would imagine he’s ahead of newly-signed Justin Robinson, but you probably don’t need to go there.

*The B2B is a little worrisome for Kemba, so I wouldn’t expect his minutes to get up there today. You’d think the Knicks learned their lesson on Rose.

*Centers have really handled the slow-footed Luka Garza, so this could be a big Mitch Robinson spot.

*The NYK wings are probably a stay-away spot as we wait for Thibs to figure it out. The last time R.J. Barrett missed time, Thibs mentioned he’s basically a creature of habit and it took him some time to get going. This is likely going to be a low-scoring game.
