Mosley quotes: Said they really have to get into the paint.

Stats and Notes:

*Out of nowhere, the Magic are suddenly playing fast, ranking fourth in the NBA in seconds per possession in the last month. They have seen their transition volume rise in this span to account for most of this, and teams have really been able to run on the Hawks. The Hawks are still in the middle of the pack on pace, but of course the Magic have really struggled with ball containment. I’d expect someone to sit for the Hawks, so it’s a little tricky.

*This has Trae smash written all over it. His numbers are actually just OK in this spot with a 28/4/4 and a 23/4/6 line in the previous two games, but it got to garbage time to cut his minutes down. He’s really going to have to score a ton with John Collins out, and I’d expect other Hawks to sit out in this one to get them to the break. Hopefully, it’s not a Trae sit day.

*The Magic have been solid at protecting the basket, so this isn’t the greatest spot for Capela. If Bogdan does sit, that could really open up minutes for Huerter.

*Jalen Suggs is very likely to see Trae Young here, so that could really set up well for him. The Hawks can’t hide him on guys like Franz, so this is a spot where Jalen could really turn it on. I’d prefer him over the other perimeter guys.

*This should be a better bounce-back spot for Mo Bamba. He finally runs into a matchup where the Magic need his size, so I could see a game that maybe turns his 2022 around. It’s obviously a very tough sell for him today, though.
