Huge slate today! I am going to help on minutes, so I’m going to be short today and not have game environment notes. They’ll be mixed in when it applies to certain players, though. I’m on for the Injury Show with Justin Phan and the DFS Show with Gary, so I’ll be sure to have other takes!

Boston Celtics at Charlotte Hornets

Team Totals: Celtics 116.3, Hornets 109.3

Injury Report: Hornets didn’t submit yet, Aaron Nesmith (O, ankle)

Celtics projected starters: Marcus Smart, Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, Al Horford, Robert Williams

Hornets projected starters: LaMelo Ball, Terry Rozier, Miles Bridges, P.J. Washington, Mason Plumlee

Udoka quotes: Said getting fouls on KD was helpful for their offense, said Tatum is taking an “alpha approach.”

Borrego quotes: Said he was proud of Cody Martin’s on-ball defense, said Mason Plumlee was great on the defensive end, mentioned Rozier just playing lights out and mentioned his defense on Dejounte, said Harrell and LaMelo are developing a chemistry together on offense (mentioned Rozier as well), said P.J. Washington is a big part of the defense playing better, said he likes P.J. and Mason out there together to help on switches.

Stats and Notes:

*We saw LaMelo turn in a massive line against the Celtics earlier this year, and the Celtics are just so good at limiting role players overall. It’s a terrible matchup for LaMelo and I’d probably avoid it, but I wouldn’t count him out.

*In a B2B, I don’t think you have to go there for the other Hornets.

*Jayson Tatum is on an absolute heater. Sure, part of it is no Jaylen Brown, but a lot of it is his role changing. In the last three games, he’s seen 50.3 frontcourt touches with more touch time. A matchup against Miles Bridges isn’t all that concerning, so he could keep it rolling.

*This is also a really good matchup for Jaylen Brown. He’ll have a big size advantage on Terry Rozier, and he looked 100% in his return from his ankle issue. We’ve seen Jaylen really clean up in higher-paced games, and getting 35 minutes in his return is very encouraging. I could see a Jaylen game.
