Udoka quotes: Said they defended very well in the first half and they have to look at the positives, said getting beat on the glass caused some “momentum stoppers”, said their rebounding wasn’t because of effort, said he liked the smaller guys to make the Bucks scramble more (more White, less Grant).
Budenholzer quotes: Basically talked up Jrue’s greatness.
Stats and Notes:
*Man, the Celtics blew Game 5. They kept the Bucks down yet again in the halfcourt at an 87.8 O rating, keeping them to just 84.8 on the series. The Bucks just can’t score consistently in the halfcourt, but they’ve been able to get out in the open court a little more lately.
*We know what’s up with Jayson Tatum. We’ve seen his highest two usage-rate games in this series come in the last two games with a playoff-high 39.5 usage rate in the last one. His ball-handling is spiking and he’s hit 40-plus minutes in every game of this series, including 42-plus in each of the last two. He’s got a massive ceiling.
