Josh Allen U8.5 Rushing Attempts -105 (2, W)
Mean proj: 7.9
While we were hoping that Allen’s injured hand would limit his designed runs, we weren’t counting on it and had no injury docks in place. This projection was a product of solid inputs with some freeroll upside on the injured hand — plus the fact that Miami played a ton of zone defense in Week 1, which helps to limit QB scrambles.
The injured and heavily taped-up hand was likely a factor for Allen, though, as he had just one designed run (3.84 average last year) and one scramble, the first time that’s happened in his last 19 games.
