Trevor Lawrence carved up the Broncos in last year’s meeting for Week 16’s QB2 fantasy score, while Denver’s Week 1 defensive performance was beyond abysmal, lowlighted by 28 missed tackles in a 31-10 blowout loss to Kansas City. Lawrence enters Week 2 humming with a 19:1 TD-to-INT ratio and 10.1 YPA over his last seven regular-season games. While I do expect a much better Broncos performance than they delivered in the opener, we have enough solid data points here to support Lawrence as a fringe QB1/2 at worst. … Although Bhayshul Tuten shined with seven missed tackles forced and out-touched Chris Rodriguez Jr. 16 to 6 in Week 1’s win over the Browns, Rodriguez handled short-yardage/goal-line snaps, and LeQuint Allen Jr. remains a threat on passing downs. And Tuten kept playing when the Jaguars’ starters were pulled with over eight minutes left in the fourth. Kenneth Walker III’s Week 1 destruction of Denver’s defensive front isn’t compelling enough evidence to justify Tuten as more than a risky flex option in the Jaguars’ RBBC.
