Matthew Stafford has had varying levels of success against the Seahawks in two years since Mike Macdonald became head coach, but Seattle’s recent defensive domination can’t be denied. Macdonald’s team has held six of its last seven opponents to 16 points or fewer, the exception being Sean McVay’s Rams in Week 16’s 38-37 Seahawks overtime win. In last week’s Divisional Round, Kyle Shanahan’s 49ers offense never even entered the red zone against Seattle. Soon-to-be 38-year-old Stafford doesn’t go into the NFCCG playing his best ball with a 56.9% completion rate over his last five games and 6.7 yards per pass attempt across his last four. I think arrows are pointing down on Stafford’s Week 21 outlook. … The Seahawks stymied enemy running backs for 3.54 yards per carry in the 2025 regular season, then held Christian McCaffrey to 74 scoreless yards on 16 touches in the Divisional Round. Kyren Williams and Blake Corum got a significant Week 20 lift from the return of RG Kevin Dotson (ankle) — the Rams’ top-graded offensive player against the Bears at PFF — but encounter a wholly undesirable NFC Championship Game matchup.
