Meaningful Opening Day takeaways don’t exist for the Jets’ defense since they faced the inept Titans, but it wouldn’t be crazy to stream Gang Green’s D/ST here. … Love’s outlook feels almost impossible to assess, and he could be headed for a roller-coaster year. On Sunday, the good news is New York will be without star FS Minkah Fitzpatrick (groin) and EDGE Joseph Ossai (foot), loosening up Love’s matchup on paper. … As expected, pass-protection specialist Chris Brooks out-snapped MarShawn Lloyd 38 to 30 in Green Bay’s opener as a response to Vikings DC Brian Flores’ blitz-obsessed ways. Lloyd out-touched Brooks 13 to 7, but neither got anything going on the ground. With future Hall of Fame candidate MLB Demario Davis now shielded by 366-pound NT T’Vondre Sweat, the Jets’ defensive front is built to, at the very least, be highly competitive against the run. Titans backs managed a combined 47 scoreless rushing yards on them last week.
