Based on my confidence in proven-successful strategist Packers HC Matt LaFleur, his open investment in Green Bay’s three-receiver set, and the indefinite loss of high-volume back Josh Jacobs, I took a preseason stance on the Packers’ offensive trajectory. Betting they’ll morph into a pass-first team, I drafted a ton of Packers in July and August but will be starting none of them against DC Brian Flores’ Vikings, who yielded the NFL’s fifth-fewest (2025) and seventh-fewest (2024) points over the last two seasons. Sans Jacobs, anticipate an RBBC spearheaded by pass-protection specialist Chris Brooks since Flores blitzed at a league-high 47% rate last season. MarShawn Lloyd is Green Bay’s top backfield playmaker but will share time initially. … I’m eyeballing Jordan Love’s Weeks 2-8 schedule (@ NYJ, vs. ATL, @ TB, vs. CHI, vs. DAL, @ DET, and vs. CAR) for him to make a fantasy football difference.
