Thursday Night Football

New England @ Chicago

Team Totals: Bears 27, Patriots 24

A top-five fantasy finisher in each of the last three weeks, Drake Maye visits Soldier Field having gone 66 of 103 passing (64%) for 878 yards (8.5 YPA) and a 10:1 TD-to-INT ratio, and adding a 19/103/1 rushing line, during New England’s three-game win streak. Maye was Week 6’s QB5 despite a miserable first game back from A.J. Brown, who dropped three passes and managed 27 yards on 10 targets. The Bears have coughed up the NFL’s second-most yards per pass attempt (8.4) and eighth-highest passer rating (99.9), and on Thursday night will be without both starting defensive ends, Montez Sweat (suspension) and Dayo Odeyingbo (quad/I.R.), as well as defensive play-caller WLB T.J. Edwards (hamstring). In Week 7’s third-highest-totaled game, Maye is a shoo-in top-five QB1 play. … Rhamondre Stevenson handled 14 touches on a 60% playing-time clip in Week 6’s win over the Jets. I would expect his workload to be similar or possibly even bigger here. Stevenson is New England’s lone trusted blitz-protection back, while Bears DC Dennis Allen is blitzing at the NFL’s eighth-highest rate (27%). TreVeyon Henderson, whose ankle is clearly not 100%, lost a third-quarter fumble last Sunday and can’t possibly be trusted by OC Josh McDaniels at this point. Week 6 late-game clock killer Corey Kiner could even play ahead of Henderson here.
