Team Totals: Patriots 25.5, Dolphins 18.5

The Patriots visit the Dolphins off a mini-bye following Week 7’s Thursday night loss to Chicago. Drake Maye has been piping hot with 14 total touchdowns, just two picks, and a 118.9 passer rating over the last four weeks. (Lamar Jackson leads the league in passer rating at 119.6.) Yet Maye will play Sunday’s game without A.J. Brown (ankle/knee), Romeo Doubs (shoulder, I.R.), and Mack Hollins (calf, I.R.), leaving DeMario Douglas, Kyle Williams, and Efton Chism III as Maye’s top three wideouts. The good news is that Maye has an extensive history of elevating teammates and has tacked on 32.3 rushing yards per game over the last month. And the Dolphins have allowed the NFL’s seventh-most fantasy quarterback points per game. … As a blocker, receiver, and runner, TreVeyon Henderson has been ineffective enough that he’s fallen into a No. 2 back rotation with Corey Kiner behind locked-in lead RB Rhamondre Stevenson. Enemy backfields have tagged the Dolphins for 148.3 total yards per game. I like Stevenson as an RB2 and am betting his anytime touchdown prop.
