Although Cousins has admirably executed HC Klint Kubiak’s offense, he has run piping hot from a touchdown rate standpoint (league-high 10.2%), which is a metric always bound for mean regression. Cousins remains a humdrum two-QB-league option against a Saints defense that ranks 20th in fantasy quarterback points allowed despite facing Jared Goff and Lamar Jackson. … Ashton Jeanty struggled for rushing efficiency and dropped multiple passes in Week 2’s win over the Chargers, but Jeanty has been such a volume monster that he’s relegated Mike Washington Jr. to handcuff-only status. Jeanty’s touch counts two games in are 29 and 25. This is a fantasy-friendly matchup for Jeanty against a Saints defense that has generously doled out a 49/237/3 (4.8 YPC) combined rushing line to opposing running backs.
