Derek Carr’s modest history of box-score production has bled into his time with the Saints, failing to top two touchdown passes in any of his nine starts and topping four rushing yards once. Even when Carr is playing well, his game simply doesn’t translate positively to fantasy football. … New Orleans’ backfield looks to have devolved into a three-way RBBC involving Alvin Kamara, Taysom Hill, and Jamaal Williams. Kamara out-snapped Williams by only a 49% to 43% margin in Week 9’s win over the Bears, while Hill led the unit in touches (15). During the week, HC Dennis Allen stated the committee distribution is going according to plan. “The ability to have a little bit of a rotation where guys can kind of spell other guys, I think is important,” Allen said. Kamara remains fringe RB1/2 playable but apparently can’t be considered the full-throttle workhorse he appeared to be shortly after coming off suspension. Williams hasn’t hit double-digit touches in a game since Week 1. Hill is an elite option wherever he is tight end eligible. Over New Orleans’ last three games, Hill is averaging 44.3 rushing yards, 25.7 receiving yards, 1.3 all-purpose touchdowns, and 15.7 passing yards. Taysom may be the Saints’ best skill-position player at this point.
