It’s one step forward, two steps back for Cam Ward, who played his season-best game in Week 4’s loss to Baltimore, only to follow up with a dreadful Week 5 against the Texans in which Tennessee didn’t score a point in the final three quarters. It was poor enough that reporters were compelled to ask HC Robert Saleh about Ward’s job security after the loss. The good news is that Week 6 provides a matchup-based rebound opportunity beneath Lucas Oil Stadium’s dome against a Colts defense that’s yielded the NFL’s fourth-most yards per pass attempt (8.0) and eighth-highest passer rating (103.4) while ranking bottom three in pressure rate (16.2%) and bottom 10 in sacks (10). It will be a massive red flag if Ward can’t at least look competent. I tapped the over on this game’s 44-point total. … Tony Pollard is Tennessee’s lead back when games are close or the Titans have a lead (rare). Tyjae Spears takes over when Tennessee falls behind. I still don’t want anything to do with this backfield.
