Fins-Chiefs sets up as an exceptionally low-scoring affair driven by injuries on Miami’s side plus Saturday night’s weather forecast at Arrowhead, which calls for sub-zero temperatures, wind chill in the range of -25, and wind gusts near 30 miles per hour. The Dolphins scored 22 points or fewer in three straight games to close out the year, while Kansas City yielded the NFL’s second-fewest points per game (17.3) in 2023. Hawaii-born Tua Tagovailoa has finished below 300 passing yards in seven straight starts. DC Steve Spagnuolo’s Chiefs defense conceded the league’s third-fewest yards per pass attempt (6.0) and netted the second-most sacks (57). I’m betting on the Chiefs’ D/ST over Tagovailoa here. … Raheem Mostert (knee/ankle) and De’Von Achane (toe/ribs) appear likely to share Week 19 time evenly against a Chiefs defense that surrendered the league’s seventh-fewest fantasy running back points this regular season. Achane appears to be healthier than Mostert and remains the preferred option on a one-for-one basis.
Weather and matchup projections suggest box-score expectations should be tempered for Tyreek Hill, who was limited in practice all week with ankle and quad injuries. This season, only the Jets served up fewer fantasy WR points than the Chiefs. In particular, I’m fading Tyreek in FFPC’s Playoff Tournament Challenge.
