Happy Week 6, everyone! Per usual, the season moves on far too quickly. Let’s dive right in.

Take a look back at last week’s perfect lineup:

The cheap QB tour continues! I’m going to talk about that as our longer topic this week, so let’s look at the other aspects of this lineup.

Pricing was once again tight, as you needed both Tyreek Hill’s $9K tag, as well as Ja’Marr Chase’s $7.9K tag to win, while mid-tier pieces like Adam Thielen, George Pickens, Breece Hall, and Zack Moss ate up the rest of the salary.

A big score like Chase’s is always going to be needed to win a tournament, and the same can be said when multiple players in the $5K range score 30 points or more.

We didn’t have much in the way of correlation, but Desmond Ridder and his 29 points at $4.9K did come along with a Dalton Schultz bring-back, who was surprisingly the optimal TE at sub-20 points when Dallas Goedert went out and scored 28.7 DK points, showing how tight last week was.

Adam Thielen continues to impress this season, especially in full-point PPR formats like DraftKings’, while Breece Hall seems to be all the way back. Moss, in hindsight, was a sharp play. The field was off of him due to his $5.8K tag and the return of Jonathan Taylor. However, Moss had proven to us he has a ceiling in recent weeks, and we could have at least realized there was a strong possibility that Taylor was very slowly eased in. It will be interesting to see how the Colts utilize their backfield going forward.

However, I want to dive into the Ridder optimal play. To be frank, I was never playing Desmond Ridder, and I still wouldn’t play Ridder on any main slate, despite the 29-point score here. However, we’ve seen more and more cheap QBs be not only viable but optimal on DraftKings over the past two seasons.

If you go back to my first-ever leverage article, Week 1 of last year, I broke down the optimal QBs in all of 2020 and 2021:
