It’s a light day today with no game starting later than 9:00 EDT, so we’re in for a fairly easy night tonight. Plus, there’s not too much going on injury-wise.  We did get some big news on the 1:30, though.

1:30 Updates

Hello, Mavericks. Luka Doncic (elbow) and Dorian Finney-Smith (leg) are doubtful for today, which isn’t the biggest surprise given how much they’ve been laboring at times in the last week. On the positive side, Kristaps Porzingis (ankle), Josh Richardson (hamstring) and J.J. Redick (heel) are probable. The easy part of this is Jalen Brunson gets a huge boost as the primary guy while Trey Burke should see some decent time again. Without DFS, the Mavs will go a little bigger with Maxi Kleber at the four while Tim Hardaway Jr. should have a little more ceiling to his playing time. KP should get pretty close to a full workload here while I’d expect J-Rich to have a cap on him.

Kyrie Irving is now out for the B2B, so the Nets are now a little thin at guard with Bruce Brown and Chris Chiozza already out. Tyler Johnson and Landry Shamet will be getting very nice boosts as ball-handlers, and the Nets would likely slide guys up to give DeAndre Jordan more playing time.

Fred VanVleet gets a downgrade to out here after he said he feels like s***, so Malachi Flynn rides again here. OG Anunoby and Pascal Siakam should see added ball-handling responsibilities while maybe the Raptors dust off Jalen Harris here. This also really helps Khem Birch.

No surprise in Houston, but Danuel House (ankle) and Avery Bradley (calf) are out after they missed practice. This puts Armoni Brooks back in the mix while K.J. Martin also gets a really nice boost to his playing time.
