Orlando Magic at Philadelphia 76ers

Team Totals: Magic 95.5 (!), 76ers 109.5

Injury Report: Mo Bamba (Q, back), Terrence Ross (Q, back), Cole Anthony (O, ankle), Shake Milton (Q, groin)

Magic projected starters: Jalen Suggs, Gary Harris, Franz Wagner, Wendell Carter Jr., Mo Bamba

76ers projected starters: Tyrese Maxey, Seth Curry, Matisse Thybulle, Tobias Harris, Joel Embiid

Mosley quotes: Said the turnovers are killing them and their screen setting has been pretty bad, said Bamba’s back was a little stiff and he’ll be “OK” after not playing on Saturday, said Wendell Carter Jr. has gotten better every game and he’s making the right plays, said they trust Wagner with the ball because of his work in practice and in film sessions.

Rivers quotes: Said Green hit his minutes cap and they wanted to play him more, said Embiid played more than expected in his return, said the game changes when they get Maxey in transition.

Stats and Notes:

*The 76ers’ defense is significantly better with Embiid, putting up a 112.4 D rating without him and 102.3 with him. The 76ers also continue to play slow at a 96.2 pace with Embiid, and the Magic don’t play fast either. The Magic do have one of the worst defenses, so this slow game could get ugly. This isn’t the best game environment.

*The Magic get lit up by perimeter players, so it could be a decent spot for Tobias Harris and Tyrese Maxey. Of course, Embiid getting back to the mix certainly takes some upside off those guys. It’s probably not the way to go here.

*Speaking of Embiid, Doc Rivers did not mess around with 45 minutes for Embiid in the double-OT win. It’s certainly possible Embiid goes off against Robin Lopez or Bamba, but it’s just not the right spot for him.

*If the Magic do get blown out, it’s possible that guys like Moe Wagner and R.J. Hampton can get rotation minutes along with garbage time (assuming Bamba can’t go). I’d still avoid this one.
