Notes: The Eagles have dealt with injuries along the interior of their line, namely to Landon Dickerson, that have resulted in a bit more variance than we’re accustomed to seeing from the line. But when you turn on the film, this is still the most talented unit in football, led by the league’s top tackle duo in Jordan Mailata and Lane Johnson. Mailata’s dominance as a run blocker took a hit while Dickerson was out and/or playing through his knee injury, but over the last couple of weeks, they have begun to hit their stride as Dickerson has recouped more of his power. Cam Jurgens is battling his own knee injury but is expected to return within a couple of weeks, while his replacement, Brett Toth (who filled in for Dickerson earlier in the year), filled in admirably in his first career start at the pivot in Week 8. Despite some speed bumps over the first half of the season, the Eagles’ line retains three high-end starters (Mailata-Dickerson-Johnson) with quality depth and the game’s top line coach to smooth things over when issues arise to cement their status as the league’s top group the rest of the year.
