There’s been quite a simple way to approach the PGA Tour in 2026, and it’s play Cameron Young and Matt Fitzpatrick! These two now have been in the winner’s circle for five of the last eight events and have cemented themselves as top-four players in the world. Both have fended off Scottie Scheffler, keeping his high price tag out of winning DFS lineups, too, and Cam did it without blinking at the Cadillac Championship. His elevation in the past year has been incredible to follow, as so many saw the talent from his early professional days, and to see it all coming together is a treat. The game needed competitive rivals to Scheffler and Rory McIlroy, and while the LIV shake-out still goes down, getting to see the PGA Tour shape up a bit more on the top end has made the strategy for approaching pricing in DFS quite the conversation as well. Our man, Lsahr, did it to perfection this past week in the Sand Trap for a cool $200,000, navigating the Scottie fade with the Cam Young smash and the correct puzzle pieces on the bottom end. Cody and I reviewed Larry’s portfolio on Monday, so please check that show out if you can and keep the congratulations going for a well-deserved champion!

It was an overall encouraging effort from the Value Report at Doral last week, with three of our five selections finishing inside the top 25 of DraftKings scoring on the week. The standout was Alex Smalley, who was the lowest-owned of the bunch as well, and was in fringe contention from the start of the event. We’ll talk about him again in a bit, but the consistency of his approach play is cementing him into a new tier, and I want to stay ahead of the field exposure-wise. The next on the scoring leaderboard was Sudarshan Yellamaraju, who was 20th on the week in DraftKings scoring despite finishing tied for 30th in stroke play. He did so via a birdie bonanza during Friday’s round, and both in showdown that day as well as classic on the week, he remained quite popular. I expected to see a decline in public attention after two mediocre events, but he still seems to have the limelight of the PGA Tour rookies, so we will likely be waiting until he’s off the radar again. Aldrich Potgieter was awesome. Tracking him closely, I thought he left a few shots out there despite a positive week on the greens. That’s three top 25s in four events for him for the first time in his career, so if we are seeing a bit more steadiness from him, watch out for what’s ahead. The disappointments were massive, though, as I had high expectations for both Keegan Bradley and Jordan L. Smith to keep up their form. Neither showed any life from the jump, so we will take a back seat on them at the Truist to see if either bounces back heading to Aronomink.
