Week 18 NFL Contract Incentives and Statistical Milestones

The final week of the NFL season is rife with narratives to utilize for both betting and fantasy football. One of those is trying to figure out what players may be chasing before the season comes to a close — either to receive some kind of financial compensation or reach a particular milestone. We have compiled for you some of the most important such items to note.

Of course, teams still in the playoff or seeding hunt won’t be overly concerned with these incentives.

Contract Incentives

1. Tony Pollard needs 83 rushing yards to earn $250,000 — Pollard hits his incentive at 1,100 rushing yards. The Titans are eliminated from post-season contention.

2. Tony Pollard needs 2 rushing TDs to earn $200,000 — Pollard has 5 rushing TDs so far, and needs 7 to earn some extra money.

3. JK Dobbins needs 58 rushing yards to earn $150,000 — Dobbins earns a salary bump at 600, 750, 900, 1050, and 1200 rushing yards. Sitting at 842 so far, he realistically only has the 900 level within reach.

4. Mike Evans needs 5 catches and 85 yards to earn $3M — There is a humongous escalator in Evans’ contract for hitting 70/1000/10. Tampa is playing a must-win game, but Evans also likely represents their best chance to do damage in the passing game. He right now has 65/915/11.

5. Marquez Valdes-Scantling needs 11 catches to earn $250,000 — MVS signed an incentive-laden deal with the Saints, who have been eliminated from the postseason. He needs to get to 25 catches to earn his money.

6. Marquez Valdes-Scantling needs 172 receiving yards to earn $250,000 — He already hit his bonus for 350 yards, and now needs to reach 550 for more money.

7. Marquez Valdes-Scantling needs 1 TD to earn $250,000 — MVS earns $250,000 at 3, 5, and 7 TDs. Currently, he has 4.

8. Zach Ertz needs 9 receptions to earn $250,000 — Ertz gets a pay bump at 60, 70, and 80 receptions. Right now he sits at 61.
