Joe Burrow arrived in Cincinnati as the NFL draft’s most obvious No. 1 overall pick since Andrew Luck (2012) after eviscerating college football for a 60:6 TD-to-INT ratio at 10.8 yards per attempt on 76.3% passing for national champion LSU. Also a plus athlete, Burrow averaged 27.4 rushing yards per game and scored 12 rushing TDs in two seasons as the Tigers’ starter. He’s generated Tony Romo comparisons for his blend of mobility, playmaking knack, and aggressiveness on downfield throws. As Burrow broke out in now-Panthers OC Joe Brady’s 2019 up-tempo LSU offense, it’s notable that the Bengals played fast in Zac Taylor’s first year, ranking ninth in offensive plays per game and 12^th in plays per drive despite consistently losing time-of-possession battles. Cincinnati returns formidable weaponry and OT Jonah Williams, 2019’s 11^th overall pick whose entire rookie season was lost to a torn shoulder labrum. Burrow faces an unforgiving schedule, but he plays a fantasy-friendly style and makes for an upside QB2 pick.
