Jacksonville @ Las Vegas
Team Totals: Jaguars 23.5, Raiders 21
The Jags return from Week 8’s bye with Trevor Lawrence ranked 16th in per-game fantasy QB scoring to face a Raiders defense that’s short on talent beyond Maxx Crosby but gets the most out of its personnel under Pete Carroll and DC Patrick Graham. Vegas ranks middle of the pack in the vast majority of pass defense categories but does register bottom nine in pressure rate (19%), suggesting Lawrence’s pocket should be mostly clean. I’m treating Lawrence as a high-end QB2 with an always questionable ceiling. … I’m expecting a post-bye rookie bump for Bhayshul Tuten, who played a season-high 29% of the Jaguars’ Week 7 offensive snaps. Lead back Travis Etienne started the year hot but has cooled off since, managing 3.8 yards per carry combined across Jacksonville’s three pre-bye games. This is purely projection, but a near 50/50 backfield split in Week 9 should surprise no one. I think Tuten will be given a chance to take over the lead RB role in the season’s second half.
