Best ball drafting is a moving target. Underdog is on their seventh season of Best Ball Mania, meaning we have six seasons of data to analyze. However, prices can change significantly from one year to the next, making historical analysis sometimes less useful as we try to adapt to new prices. One example: Lower-drafted quarterbacks are far more expensive this offseason. Today, we’ll dig into the evolution of quarterback cost and production over the past seven years and discuss how to approach the QB position in Underdog drafts this offseason.
HOW HAS QUARTERBACK ADP CHANGED OVER TIME?
Over the last seven years (using final ADP for 2020-25 and current ADP for 2026), high-end quarterbacks have actually gotten cheaper despite options like Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson emerging as both elite passers and elite runners. Meanwhile, mid-tier QBs have grown more expensive. 13 quarterbacks have an ADP inside the top 100 in BBM right now; no other year saw more than 11. QB18 Jordan Love has an ADP of 110.2. The previous record for the QB18 was 129.3 in 2025.

The QB24 has an ADP of 142.5; that position rank was at 159.1 in 2025, and no earlier than 169.6 over the five years prior. In other words, middling QB prices jumped last offseason, but we’ve seen them skyrocket to new proportions this summer. The graphic representation below makes it extremely clear that non-elite QB prices are way up this offseason.
