Albeit at home against the walkover Dolphins, Ashton Jeanty was the star of Las Vegas’ Week 1 show, leading the Raiders in both rushing (23/102/0) and receiving (6/45/2) and making it so that impressive rookie Mike Washington Jr. (13 snaps) barely saw the field, even though Washington ran well on his opportunities (7/41/0). Just as promisingly, the Raiders’ remade offensive line consistently controlled the point of attack. The No. 6 overall pick in 2025’s draft looks like a true every-down back supercharged in first-year HC Klint Kubiak’s wide-zone system. Washington remains one of fantasy’s most valuable handcuffs. … The Raiders’ passing game is far less intriguing from a box-score perspective and will remain that way until Brock Bowers (knee) returns (and Fernando Mendoza debuts). 38-year-old Kirk Cousins is a short-ball game manager at best. Neither Tre Tucker nor Jalen Nailor belongs in fantasy lineups. … Vegas’ passing-game exception will be Michael Mayer until Bowers gets back. Against Miami last week, Mayer led all Raiders non-QB skill players in playing time (81%), targets (7), and receptions (6). Fellow TE Trey McBride cooked (9/95/1) this same Chargers defense last Sunday, laying the groundwork for a big week from Mayer.
