Indianapolis @ Kansas City
Team Totals: Colts 20, Chiefs 26.5
Only Bo Nix, Matthew Stafford, and Cooper Rush finished lower in EPA/dropback than Daniel Jones in his first game back from an Achilles tear. Chiefs DC Steve Spagnuolo blitzed Dimes on 36% of his dropbacks in their lone matchup last year, and that’s concerning for his QB2 status: Jones completed five of 10 passes for 5.6 yards per attempt (17th) when blitzed in Week 1. … Including Jonathan Taylor’s 58-yard performance in that game, the Chiefs have allowed just two RBs to reach 90 rushing yards since the 2024 season. (Yes, you read that correctly.) Taylor’s floor is safe in handling 96% of his team’s backfield touches, but his ceiling on one-game slates is debatable (similar to rostering Jahmyr Gibbs on Thursday night). RJ Harvey encouragingly caught four passes against K.C. Monday night.
