Carolina @ Cleveland

Team Totals: Panthers 22.5, Browns 20

Bryce Young enters Week 3 as fantasy’s overall QB2 to face a Browns defense that looked like a sieve in Week 1’s loss to Trevor Lawrence before harassing Baker Mayfield all game long last week. The Panthers have shown major offensive line vulnerability, yielding the league’s highest pressure rate (40%) to date and casting skepticism on the sustainability of Carolina’s Weeks 1-2 success, which came against the burnable defenses of Chicago and Atlanta. Young can be played as a fringe QB1/2, but no one should be surprised if he slows down in the Browns’ home opener. … Slated to miss at least six weeks, Jonathon Brooks (groin surgery, I.R.) is a drop in 12- and 14-team leagues. The Panthers’ backfield belongs to Chuba Hubbard, who is now one of the league’s handful of true every-down backs. The Browns haven’t allowed a rushing score to a running back yet, but enemy backs have tagged them for 220 yards on 44 carries (5.0), suggesting that no-TD statistic is headed for mean regression from which Hubbard could benefit. Hubbard is a serious candidate for 20+ touches as an RB2 with RB1 upside.
