Remember how last year the 49ers lost basically everyone on defense? It’s happening again. At least up front. 2025 first-round DE Mykel Williams (ACL) opened the season on reserve/PUP. Former DPOY Nick Bosa (calf) is week to week. 2025 second-round DT Alfred Collins tore his patellar tendon before Week 1. Third-round rookie EDGE Romello Height broke his hand last week. NT C.J. West went on injured reserve this week with a bone chip in his knee. Reserve DT James Thompson has a high ankle sprain. I’m huge on the over of 47.5 points in this game, in large part because I think Jacoby Brissett will have a squeaky-clean pocket. The Cardinals’ team total over 19.5 is a particularly strong bet. Brissett is a legit QB1 streamer… Week 2’s results were skewed by Arizona’s 31-7 loss to Seattle, but Jeremiyah Love has yet to show tangible signs of separating from Tyler Allgeier in what still appears to be a two-man RBBC. The good news is San Francisco’s defensive front is so depleted that Love should have big-run opportunities as long as the Cardinals can stay competitive. I like Love as a volatile RB2/flex play. Allgeier is a touchdown-dependent flex.
