Thursday Night Football

Tampa Bay @ Dallas

Team Totals: Cowboys 28.5, Bucs 19

Finishing as fantasy’s QB19 in his first NFL start, Jalon Daniels looked like a serviceable backup and delivered as a runner (8/55/0) enough for comfortable two-quarterback-league usage against Dallas’ Swiss-cheese defense. The Cowboys have coughed up the NFL’s third-highest completion rate (71.3%), second-most yards per pass attempt (8.4), and an NFL-high 122.7 passer rating. … Bucky Irving’s touch counts are 15 > 21 > 17 > 16 versus Kenneth Gainwell’s 6 > 5 > 5 > 5. But Irving hasn’t played a single snap inside the opposing 10-yard line since Week 1 and was vultured at the goal line by Sean Tucker in Week 4. “Yeah, we talked about it,” HC Todd Bowles said of Tucker after the game. “He definitely needs to run the ball a little bit more.” Thursday night’s matchup is too appetizing for Irving to occupy fantasy benches, but these are concerning developments for Irving’s longer-term outlook when it comes to handling high-value touches. He was also not targeted last week.
