ESPN has been a little different on ranks over the last few years. They do have a different set of ranks depending on whether it’s points or categories, so for this one, we’ll focus on the category ranks. Some are so far off, and they don’t have ADP on the format-specific stuff. There are some really clear values down the board, and there are some strong value picks you can make in the first few rounds, too.
I didn’t try to cherry-pick too much, and I was trying to think of it in terms of where I would take them. For instance, some guys who I have ranked higher I may have lower on this list just because of the ESPN price (I’ll mention it in the analysis). Let’s get to it.
First round
In the first round, you can pretty much follow the rankings. The only thing to note is if you’re going FT% punt and want to take Giannis Antetokounmpo ahead of our rank, it’s a viable strategy.
Early second round (meaning you picked late first, talking picks 13-18)
Wish list: Karl-Anthony Towns, Tyrese Haliburton, Giannis Antetokounmpo
Analysis: We’re just really high on KAT, and ESPN has him at 21. ESPN is also a little lower on Haliburton (14), and I’d love to make that turn there with those two. Giannis is ranked too low at 19, and he’d be a viable option after seven or so in H2H leagues.
