If you’re in a deep league, this column should help. These are the guys I’ll be targeting in my 30-man league, but many of them should be worth a look in 14-team leagues, too. Some guys are pure stashes while others may have value out of the gate. I’ll note which is which in the blurb for each player.
De’Andre Hunter – Last summer, there were no players who created more buzz than De’Andre Hunter. Well, that led to one of the most disappointing seasons in the NBA, as the Cavs just had to get off him in a dump to the Kings. Ugly year aside, Hunter should be in position to start for Sacramento, and it could really thin out for the Kings on usage. He’s going in the last round in basically all formats, and there aren’t many veterans who possess his top-100 chances.
De’Anthony Melton – He’s having a healthy offseason, and it’s very important to note that coach Steve Kerr increased his minutes limit to 30 late in the season. He was even playing some back-to-back sets to close the year. Melton’s fantasy value has always been there as a guy who can get plenty of steals with across-the-board output (besides FG%). I wouldn’t target him aggressively in year-long roto, but he’s very alluring in points or H2H leagues.
