If you’re on the clock in the 15th round, you shouldn’t be thinking about getting unique with players who aren’t being drafted in every league. That’s too big of a reach.
But in the 19th round of a large-field best ball tournament like Drafters’ Million Championship, it’s a winning strategy. That’s because it can separate our teams during the best ball playoffs. In other words, the real +EV bet is scrolling down for players who are not being drafted to avoid overlapping with other rosters via unique usability.
The following is an ETR aggregated list of unique players to scroll down for in the last two rounds of the Million Best Ball Championship. This list will be updated weekly throughout the offseason as players gain steam and no longer meet the minimum 216 ADP threshold.
Did not meet the minimum threshold (but who our projections are high on in this range): T.J. Hockenson, Sean Tucker, Jerry Jeudy, Ray Davis, Calvin Ridley, Germie Bernard, Cade Otton, Pat Freiermuth, Emmett Johnson, Cooper Kupp, Jaydon Blue, MarShawn Lloyd, Pat Bryant
Players with an ADP of 216+ worth considering
Raiders RB Mike Washington Jr. (213.3)
Las Vegas led the league in scoring 80% of its touchdowns through the air last year, logically projecting for regression (stemming from the ground and more rushing scores) in Klint Kubiak’s debut. Washington, the most athletic RB to test at Indy’s combine ever, is currently slated to play behind Ashton Jeanty and the team’s much-improved offensive line.
Bengals RB Samaje Perine (213.5)
As noted by our own Jack Miller, Perine recorded 26 carries to Chase Brown’s 40 between Weeks 5-8 last year (before getting hurt), then returned to six-plus carries in five of his last six games. The veteran will start the year behind Brown as Cincy’s RB2 and holds legitimate upside if the latter misses time.
