Bucs-Lions over 51 points is one of my favorite Week 2 bets. Including January’s playoffs, Baker Mayfield is a hyper-efficient 162-of-235 passing (69%) for 2,085 yards (8.9 YPA) and an 18:4 TD-to-INT ratio over his last seven games. Tampa’s offense is among the healthiest in the league. In a probable shootout beneath Detroit’s Ford Field dome, Mayfield warrants low-end QB1 treatment. … Rookie Bucky Irving’s Week 1 usage mostly occurred in garbage time of Tampa’s 37-20 win over Washington, but he may have earned more opportunities via his productive play. Whereas Rachaad White was stymied for 31 yards on 15 carries (2.1 YPC), Irving averaged nearly 7.0 yards on nine runs against the Commanders. With immovable NT D.J. Reader set to make his Lions debut on Sunday, I’m not optimistic about the Bucs’ chances of generating Week 2 on-the-ground success. White’s receiving ability keeps him RB2/flex usable in a projected high-scoring affair. Irving is a must-hold stash.
