L.A. Chargers @ L.A. Rams

Team Totals: Rams 26, Chargers 19.5

The Chargers come off Week 7’s bye still missing LT Rashawn Slater (ankle, I.R.) and LG Kayode Awosika (fibula) to face a Rams defense permitting the NFL’s second-fewest yards per pass attempt (6.0) and sixth-lowest passer rating (80.8) while getting back top CB Trent McDuffie (groin) and MLB Nate Landman (concussion) from injuries. Justin Herbert ranks dead last among 32 qualifiers in QBR and 46th in EPA per play. He hasn’t been a realistic fantasy option all year. … The Chargers resorted to a three-way RBBC involving Omarion Hampton, Kimani Vidal, and Keaton Mitchell before the bye. It’s an untenable fantasy situation. … Ladd McConkey is the Bolts’ lone startable fantasy option against the Rams, but not because of his matchup. The Rams have held opposing receivers to the NFL’s fifth-fewest fantasy points. Yet McConkey is averaging a robust 2.13 yards per route run and 11.1 yards per target and faces minimal target competition. He’s a WR3/flex starter at worst.
