Following Monday night’s blowout loss to Seattle, the Giants visit Miami on a short week continuing to nurse debilitating injuries to LT Andrew Thomas (hamstring) and Saquon Barkley (ankle). The Seahawks sacked Daniel Jones 10 times and hit him on 14 occasions in Week 4, setting up Miami’s D/ST for Week 5 streamer viability. … Matt Breida operated as New York’s lead back against Seattle, out-snapping Gary Brightwell 55 to 19 and out-touching Brightwell 19 to five. Enemy RBs have skewered the Fins for four all-purpose TDs and 148.5 total yards per game. Breida is flex playable based on matchup and projected usage. … Miami’s allowance of the NFL’s fifth-most fantasy QB points gives Jones hope for a productive box score, although Jones’ supporting cast remains a full-on disaster, and Fins DC Vic Fangio is entirely capable of confusing Jones into another heaping helping of sacks. I’m all over Miami’s D/ST this week.
Still shuffling in the wideout corps, the Giants deployed Darius Slayton most in the position group in Week 4, Wan’Dale Robinson second most, and Jalin Hyatt third most while Isaiah Hodgins and Parris Campbell took backseats. Sterling Shepard isn’t a part of the rotation. No Giants receiver can be started here, but Slayton and Hyatt outside with Robinson in the slot sounds like their likeliest rest-of-season three-wide set.
