Thursday Night Football
N.Y. Jets @ Cleveland
Team Totals: Browns 22, Jets 14
With Zach Wilson still in concussion protocol as of Monday, the already-eliminated Jets appear likely to again trot out Trevor Siemian. Thursday night’s matchup is far more difficult than last week’s against Washington; the Browns are allowing the league’s second-fewest yards per pass attempt (5.9) and fourth-fewest fantasy QB points and have been especially impenetrable at home. Siemian isn’t even playable in two-quarterback/Superflex-league scenarios. … Breece Hall banked year highs in touches (32) and snap rate (77%) in Week 16’s win over the Commanders. The recipient of an otherworldly 33% target share from Siemian, Hall re-emerged as the centerpiece of Gang Green’s offense. Only seven NFL teams have given up fewer fantasy RB points than Cleveland. Hall can still deliver via receiving usage — he’s averaging 6.5 catches over New York’s last six games — but per-play efficiency seems unlikely considering the opponent.
Siemian’s 2023 target distribution: Hall and Garrett Wilson 20; Tyler Conklin 15; Xavier Gipson 8; Allen Lazard 5; Jeremy Ruckert 4; Jason Brownlee and Randall Cobb 3.
