Large-Field GPP Breakdown: Genesis Invitational

Football is finally over, folks. That means we are in the clear to fire away at weekly, daily, and best ball golf contests without any worry about how much we’re about to lose on the bane of my existence that is NFL DFS! The PGA Tour is actually set up well this year, as the week after the Super Bowl and the NBA All-Star break coincides with one of its signature events — the Genesis Invitational. We’ll get to more about the Genesis later on in this article. Last week seemed to be a solid week for the subs with our in-house projections, so that was of course pretty good to see. Discord vibes are back up, as earlier this week we had Discord judge THE Kyle arguing with other old people (not lsahr) about music and why things were better in the 1960s, amongst other topics that have nothing to do with golf. That’s when you know we are officially back.

WMPO – Recap

What a disappointing finish for me at the WMPO last week, unfortunately. I had a lineup that held first after Day 1 by probably 30 points, which was honestly pretty insane. I doubled the field in 6/6 lineups at ~14%, so I was thinking I was going to leave Sunday with a profitable weekend. Alas, that was not the case, as the GPP gods got me once again. That being said, I feel comfortable with my spread of entries and will just continue to plug away until I find the glory of winning the lotto another time. The WMPO was defined by low-owned players making big waves — Michael Kim, Will Chandler, and others made the top 10 while some big chalk failures hammered the field by Friday. This is the beauty of PGA DFS: It feels like any given week, you can land on the right low-owned plays and have a legitimate shot at winning big money.
