Preseason DFS is a different beast. Unlike the regular season, our main job is to identify players who will get the most playing time. Of course, that’s easier said than done. Our team spends an unhealthy amount of time researching to come up with the Depth Chart Notes, Top Plays (below), and our Live Show. Note that the Live Show will begin at 4:00 p.m. ET tonight.

Quarterback

TIER 1

TIER 2

Trevor Siemian, Cincinnati – After giving the start and the entire first half of Week 1 to Jake Browning, the Bengals are reversing the order in Week 2, allowing Siemian to take the reins in the first half. While Reid Sinnett is on the roster, we’re anticipating Cincy to roll with just two QBs again here. Siemian isn’t going to offer any upside with his legs, but he is a capable passer, completing 61.2% of his NFL preseason passes to go along with a 10:6 TD:INT ratio.

Jake Browning, Cincinnati – Browning will likely get the entire second half of Friday night’s game, but some risk he loses end-of-game work to Sinnett does exist. He’s a slightly worse passer than Siemian and will be playing in a worse game environment, but the playing time should be safe.

TIER 3

Logan Woodside, Atlanta – Woodside played 54 of 54 preseason Week 1 snaps, so it stands to reason he’ll once again be heavily featured in Friday night’s tilt against the Bengals. However, Falcons HC Arthur Smith has already said the starters will play, and it’s possible QB2 Taylor Heinicke forces his way into the game as well. Like the aforementioned Bengals QBs, Woodside offers little to no rushing upside but is a competent NFL passer, completing 62.1% of his preseason passes.
