Survivor is a brutal game, and this has been the most brutal first half I can recall in this format. Given that, this is my favorite slate of the season so far, as there are a number of playable options, where future value and game theory should play a big role in your decision. Let’s dive in.
Bengals vs. Titans
Spread: Bengals -10
Total: 46.5
ETR Ownership: 37.6%
If I still had the Bengals, I’d be looking to play them in this matchup or Week 12 at home against the Saints. I’d ideally like to avoid the Falcons, and late-season games in the state of Ohio can come with game-altering weather. So in most situations, the decision is: Do I play the Bengals here or in Week 12?
I’ve never been a Tyler Shough guy, so I don’t have a major lean between the Titans and the Saints for Cincinnati. I would be surprised if the Bengals lost in either spot (barring injuries).
This week, Joe Burrow is facing a defense that just gave up 27 points to Cleveland, and the Bengals’ pass rush has a trench advantage. A few things have to go sideways for Cincinnati to lose this matchup.
Best Remaining Matchups: Week 9 vs. ATL, Week 12 vs. NO, Week 13 at CLE, Week 18 vs. CLE
