Value Report: The RSM Classic

It’s hard to believe we have made it to our final full field event of 2024. First off, a heartfelt thank you to all of you supporting. I’ve had an absolute blast being on board with Establish The Run and the positive feedback from my role has been so appreciated. Inside of our own niche of Golf DFS, there’s a forever wormhole of professional golfers putting their heart and soul on the line across the globe. Just a small percent of a percent actually gets the chance to live out their dreams on the PGA Tour as full-time members, but to be able to research and root on those fighting for their opportunities is something I’ll forever cherish just as a golf fan. When we get the chance as well to cash in knowledge by rostering them with low ownership, it’s a perfect sequence for what I live for in the fantasy space. So here’s to closing out the year together with a bang and to continue to find our hidden gems together in 2025!

Here’s one last look back at the Bermuda Championship, and unfortunately it isn’t a good one for our gang. Five of the eight missed the weekend, and although we did go quite speculative on the selections, a hit rate of at least 50% for made cuts is the bare minimum I’m looking for. Despite trying to cash in on recent form with players of lower skill sets, these are among the most volatile players on the entire PGA Tour, so what ended up faring much better was those with the strongest course fits. David Lipsky has remained one of the better wind players since his DP World Tour days, so for him to thrive in the conditions was no surprise. For S.H. Kim, he hit his quota of birdies and far outscored his finishing position of T42 by scoring 81 DK points. His standard deviation remains among the largest of players in this range, and although the bet won’t pay off consistently, when it does, it can hit large. Lastly, Tyson Alexander was one of the trendier selections from the European tipsters that I respect, and he balled out in Round 2 to backdoor a made cut. At $6,500, he could have been a decent finishing piece in lineups, but with much more value coming through in the $6K range than previous fall swing events, it wasn’t enough to be relevant.

Flipping over to the RSM, we have one final full-field event to close out the fall. This one will have plenty of impact to those fighting for status, as the shuffling of players around the top 125 has been quite the sweat. Plus we get one of the world’s best coming back from injury to defend his title, so it will be interesting how the field will pair their lineups with Ludvig Aberg. For me, the big focus of the week is on how I can produce a top-two finish in the $100 Single-Entry Long Drive. With Jeremy racking up a substantial lead, I’m left with my back against the wall, but there would be no better feeling than snagging this win from his hands at the buzzer!

Greyson Sigg, $7,300 – Among the most impressive fall swing runs, Sigg has completely flipped the switch after a putrid end of the regular season in his third year on the PGA Tour. It all kicked off with a T4 at the Procore when his driver was back in the positive, and he kept that momentum up each of his five outings since September. Sigg has always been strong with his irons and that was true once again in Bermuda, where he finished first for greens in regulation en route to his fourth top-10 finish of 2024. Sigg is also a part of the Sea Island Mafia, so he will be right at home looking to snag his first career victory in his hometown.
