New Orleans @ Miami
Team Totals: Dolphins 24, Saints 18
The Dolphins return from Week 12’s bye having quietly won three of their last four to face a Saints defense with pass-funnel tendencies, yielding the NFL’s sixth-highest completion rate (68.4%), eighth-most yards per attempt (7.4), and sixth-highest passer rating (103.5). 22nd among quarterbacks in fantasy scoring, Tua Tagovailoa is hard to justify as more than a two-QB-league starter. But this is an excellent opportunity for No. 1 WR Jaylen Waddle to go off. … Due to injuries and Mike McDaniel’s philosophy, Miami’s ball distribution is so condensed that only Waddle and De’Von Achane are fantasy starters, and everyone else is barely worth rostering. His legs fresh off the bye, Achane ranks fourth in the NFL in rushing yards (900) and fourth among RBs in receiving yards (370). Achane is a high-ceiling RB1 as usual. … The only other Dolphin worth serious consideration will be Darren Waller (pec) if he’s activated off I.R. His window to resume practicing was opened this week. Waller banked stat lines of 3/27/2, 5/78/1, and 2/12/1 in Weeks 4-6 before going down in Week 7.
