Arizona @ Cleveland
Team Totals: Browns 22.5, Cardinals 15
After trading Josh Dobbs to Minnesota, the Cards are expected to start Clayton Tune at Cleveland with Kyler Murray (knee) still on his way back. A fifth-rounder from Houston, Tune is a plus-sized (6-foot-3/220) plus athlete (4.64 forty) who ran for 42 yards per start as a college senior and amassed a 70:20 TD-to-INT passing ratio over his final two seasons. In Week 9, Tune draws an unforgiving Browns defense yielding the NFL’s fifth-fewest yards per pass attempt (5.9) and seventh-fewest fantasy QB points. … Arizona’s RB distribution is entirely up in the air with Emari Demercado (toe) unable to practice, Damien Williams (foot) sent to practice squad/I.R., and Tony Jones promoted to Arizona’s 53 behind Keaontay Ingram. James Conner (knee, I.R.) can’t be activated until Week 10. Cleveland has yielded the NFL’s 10th-fewest fantasy running back points, so trying to sort out the Cards’ backfield could easily prove all for naught. … No real-game data supports a connection between Tune and any of Arizona’s pass catchers. I do expect Murray to start Weeks 10-18 and consider Marquise Brown and Trey McBride forward-thinking buys.
With Deshaun Watson (shoulder) still limited in practice, the Browns look set to trot out P.J. Walker for a fourth straight game after he managed Weeks 6-8 fantasy finishes of QB30 (vs. SF), QB25 (@ IND), and QB22 (@ SEA).
