San Francisco @ Tampa Bay
Team Totals: Bucs 25.5, 49ers 22
The Niners visit Tampa Bay off a mini-bye following Week 5’s Thursday night win over the Rams. With Brock Purdy (toe) still sidelined, they’ll turn back to Mac Jones under center, even as Jones is battling oblique and knee injuries. Jauan Jennings (ankle/rib) is returning, and the Bucs ruled out starting LCB Zyon McCollum (thumb) on Friday. HC Todd Bowles’ defense is annually a pass-funnel unit, and 2025 is no different; the Bucs are holding RBs to 3.63 yards per carry but yielding the NFL’s sixth-highest passer rating (105). Jones’ fantasy finishes in his three starts are QB9 (@ NO), QB15 (vs. ARI), and QB10 (@ LAR). A natural technician in Kyle Shanahan’s system, Jones is a low-end QB1 in this passer-friendly draw. … Christian McCaffrey is on pace for 139 catches, enough to break his own single-season record for running backs, which CMC set in 2019 (116). The Bucs have allowed the league’s third-most RB receiving yards (257). His legs fresh off the mini-bye, CMC should cook here.
